Why a custom system from us
For an internal system you have four options: off-the-shelf software, a freelancer, your own developer, or us. Each fits something different. Here is an honest comparison.
Your options compared
| Appitect | Off-the-shelf software | |
|---|---|---|
| Built around how your company works | You adapt to the software | |
| Working prototype before you sign | Trial version | |
| You own the code and data | ||
| Monthly fee per user | No | Yes |
| Work continues if one person leaves | ||
| Design, development, hosting and support | One team | Support only |
| Integration with accounting and other systems | Only what it offers |

| Built around how your company works | You adapt to the software | |||
| Working prototype before you sign | Trial version | Rarely | ||
| You own the code and data | Depends on contract | |||
| Monthly fee per user | No | Yes | No | No |

| Design, development, hosting and support | One team | Support only | Depends on one person | You manage it |
| Integration with accounting and other systems | Only what it offers |
Off-the-shelf software, freelancer and in-house developer are general categories, not specific companies. For standard tasks without special needs, off-the-shelf software is often enough. A custom system makes sense when it saves more hours than it costs.
What we stand for
Understand first, then build
Prototype before contract
You own the code and data
We speak plainly
How we use AI
We use AI in development every day. It helps us write code, tests and documentation faster, so you get the result sooner.
We are developers. Every line AI suggests, we read and approve. We understand the code we hand over to you and can fix and extend it years from now.
We also build AI into client systems, for example to sort enquiries or prepare documents. People make the decisions in them.

Who’s behind it
I founded Appitect because I’ve always enjoyed programming and computers. I always wanted to build apps and run my own company.
The second reason I see with clients every week. Companies still don’t use modern technology, including AI, even though it would save them a lot of time. Quotes are put together by hand in Excel and data is retyped between systems.
So we build systems that take over this work. And we run our own company on them.
